What the heck is Drink & Ink?!

Drink & Ink nights are open to anyone 12 and older interested in letterpress printing, handmade posters and craftiness. For $35, we'll supply cabinets full of antique wood type, and all the paper, ink and press know-how you could possibly need. You bring the creativity and any snacks or beverages you might want to enjoy while you're here. Each attendee designs their own 11x17 poster and prints 2-3 copies of it. Sessions run from 6-9PM most Thursday nights and are open to up to 10 guests. They fill up fast, so check the calendar and book your night! We also do Drink & Ink nights as private parties.

Host a Pop-up printing event

Looking for a unique way to entertain guests at a special event or gathering?

Good news! We've got a portable printing press, drawers of wood type, an inking station, and an enthusiasm for meeting new people that we'll bring right to you. You give us a quote, we design the poster + lock it up in our press and bring it all on the road. Each party guest prints their own unique version of it to take home.

Starts at $550
This buys a custom-designed poster for you + all the supplies needed for each guest to print a copy.

2-4 hours
We set up prior to the event and stay until an agreed upon time, depending on your guest count.

Host a Shop tour

Got a group of 10+ people looking for a piece of Milwaukee history and a unique experience?

Good news! We've got a 105-year-old letterpress print shop (some might say a historic Milwaukee gem), spunky attitudes and a wealth of weird stories to share of our history. We'll guide your group through the shop to see and learn about the tools and machines used in the art of letterpress printing. The tour concludes with each visitor printing their own souvenir.

$15/person
$15 gets you a shop tour, random history tidbits and a souvenir print.

~1 hour
The tour is about 45 minutes + some time to print posters together at the end.

50 person max
Our 1880s building has tight quarters, but we can comfortably fit ~1 busload.

Bachelorette party bliss

I had my bachelorette party at Bay View Printing Company this past weekend and it was a truly fun experience!
